Tragic Shooting Incident Claims Two Lives in Etowah County
ETOWAH COUNTY, Ala. – A shooting in Etowah County on Tuesday afternoon has resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Coats Bend Circle, where deputies from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Department discovered a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders airlifted one of the victims to a Birmingham hospital, but unfortunately, that individual later succumbed to their injuries. The other victim was pronounced dead at the scene. As of now, authorities have not released the names of either victim.
A suspect has been taken into custody, and law enforcement officials have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the community. Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
