Christmas on the Coosa: Outdoor Ice Skating Rink Arrives in Gadsden

GADSDEN, Ala. – The festive season has officially arrived in Gadsden with the launch of Christmas on the Coosa. Greater Gadsden Area Tourism excitedly announced the opening of an outdoor ice skating rink, boasting a size comparable to New York’s iconic Rockefeller Plaza.

The skating rink will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily until December 19, after which hours will shift to 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are priced at $15 per skater from Friday to Sunday and $10 during the week from Monday to Thursday. For those looking to enjoy additional festivities, combo tickets are available, which include admission to the enchanting Christmas at the Falls display at Noccalula Falls Park and Campground. Combo tickets are priced at $25 for weekends and $15 for weekdays.

Located at 344 South First Street in Gadsden, near Moragne Park, the ice skating rink is sure to draw in families and friends looking to embrace the holiday spirit. With a variety of ticket options and hours designed to accommodate different schedules, everyone has an opportunity to partake in this joyous seasonal celebration.
