Tragic Crash in Cherokee County Claims Lives of Gadsden Woman and Toddler
A devastating single-vehicle crash in Cherokee County, Alabama, claimed the lives of 46-year-old Brandi D. Odell and her one-year-old son on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 8:15 a.m. on U.S. 411 near Pine Cone Road, approximately one mile south of Leesburg. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the 2012 Nissan Murano that Odell was driving veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Both Brandi and her infant son were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third passenger, a 3-year-old child, suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No further details about the crash have been released as ALEA’s Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
