The Best double push chair Buggy Strollers
A double buggy is the best for twins who are due or have two children of different ages. The best ones are simple to maneuver and handle rough surfaces and kerbs.
They also come with features like large sun canopies with hoods that can be seen through and seats that are adjustable.
1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double
The City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller with bassinet stroller within the Baby Jogger range. It was designed specifically to travel and fits through standard doors easily due to its ultra-narrow shape. It’s also among the lightest double buggies on the market weighing only 14lb when folded. It’s perfect for traveling with a toddler and a newborn since you won’t exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It also folds up to the size of a travel bag so that you can put it away in the back of your car when not being used.
The one-handed, Z-shape folding is a breeze and it’s extremely compact once you get the hang of it and takes minutes to fold. Our test subject found the auto-lock a little confusing, and because the handlebar doesn’t lock into its position when you push it to the side, it struck her leg when she tried to use it. She also felt the handlebar was a little too short and especially with the large changing bag hanging from it.
Unlike other lightweight travel buggies it doesn’t sacrifice features. It’s one of the most full-featured double strollers available. It’s compatible with two carry cots (available separately) It also has multiple recline positions and a UV 50+ canopy. You can even add a bassinet to one or both seats and transform it into a travel system.
The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements and urban terrain. However, they were not designed for off-roading. They had trouble with gravel and long grass and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel which meant that mud could get stuck easily. Our tester loved this vehicle and was able to climb some pretty muddy hills.
iCandy Orange
The iCandy Orange is a premium double buggy that is the best in design and versatility. It is an essential item for parents who demand cutting edge design, quality and style that lasts. The Orange is a stunning, lightweight, streamlined chassis with a huge basket that will easily take two car seats. It has a luxurious, removable water repellent as well as a airy canopy with mesh ventilation. It is available in trendy colors like Pistachio on a Jet Black Frame, Fossil on a Jet Black Frame, and Rose. There is also the option of a built-in ride on board for older sibling to join in the fun.
This 2021 update has few improvements, including improved maneuverability, a larger basket and a redesigned bumper bar that has a leatherette cover. The seats are extremely comfortable and have a moulded look. They’re also adjustable so they can be positioned to suit the needs of siblings. iCandy has introduced the first “cinema seating” style that allows parents to keep eye contact between both children. They can be adjusted so that they face either the parent or the world.
It’s a heavier tandem buggy but it’s very easy to use and steer, particularly on smooth pavements. It’s stable in double and single mode, and even on sloping ground. It’s not as easy to drive on public transport, however, because it requires more than one hand to grip the handlebar. It’s also a bit heavy and will not fit in a standard car boot with the seat attached but this is a problem that can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy includes the footmuff and changing bag with the cost, so it’s an excellent value for new parents.

It is also extremely lightweight and makes it easier to push over long distances. It also comes with a top-quality suspension system, which guarantees a smooth ride for both parents and children.
This fashionable and practical city stroller is suitable for twins or a toddler with an infant, or even three children with the addition of UPPAbaby’s”PiggyBack” board (sold separately). It has a sleek frame and a small size, which makes it ideal for narrow city streets and shopping malls. The swivel wheels on the front and four-wheel suspension enable it to handle rough or uneven terrain.
This buggy is also suitable for families planning to travel, as it can fit a car seat in the back. It comes with a secure, one-click fold, and is compatible with a variety of Joie infant car seats. It has a spacious basket, as well as comfortable seats for children. The only downside is that the front seat doesn’t recline fully, which could be a problem for babies. However, it’s an excellent option for families who are looking for an inexpensive and lightweight stroller.
4. Cybex Gazelle S
This is the stroller to get for twins if you’re expecting. It’s the first travel system manufactured by Cybex and comes with built-in adaptors that make it simple to convert from a single pushchair to a double. The upper adaptors are adjustable to your height, and the lower adaptors can be twisted and turned so that you can easily change from one configuration to another. The Gazelle’s seats also recline into a nice flat position, and also have an extended, large UV 50+ sun canopy which is a must for your children.
From birth, it is a single pushchair, and from 4 years old as a double with the addition of the CLOUD Z i-Size car seat or an additional seat or Gazelle Cot, this is the future-proof stroller that will adapt to your family. The new one-pull harness makes the process of securing your child an easy and simple process – ideal when you’re wearing the baby on your back!
Unlike most double strollers, the Gazelle S folds up compactly with both seats connected, making it easy to squeeze into storage spaces at your home or in your trunk. The large lower basket can hold up to 25 lbs of shopping, daily necessities or groceries, and a detachable shopper basket gives you more space for everything you buy. This stroller is extremely versatile and comfortable for families thanks to its single-pull harness and large recline. It also has puncture-proof tires so you aren’t worried about flat tires on your trips.
5. Nipper Double V5
The Nipper Double V5 is a updated version of Out ‘n’ About of the award-winning buggies that can be used on all terrains. It is specifically designed for twins or other siblings and features recliner chairs that are independent, compatible with carrycots, and a lightweight framework that allows for easy maneuverability on bumpy terrain.
The height adjustable handle and rear wheel suspension ensure a comfortable ride for children up to 22kg, while the durable pneumatic tyres easy to wipe clean and give a smooth ride when running. The 360-degree swivel wheel can be locked to help you maneuver around the town. The one-pedal easy lock brake is also simple to use.
Our testers found the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even when walking on uneven ground or turning quickly in a busy street. They were also impressed by the fact that both seats recline independently, meaning they can be adjusted to meet your individual preferences – perfect for napping.
The hoods were also easy to adjust for sun or wind protection. They didn’t provide the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It’s probably worth packing an extra rain cover in case.
Overall, our testers were impressed with the way that the Nipper Double made it possible for them to take their twin girls Sydney and Lyla on a variety of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to rush to the park for a playdate. They were also amazed by how comfortable and spacious the two seats are with plenty of room for toddlers growing to stretch out in. Our test participants did not agree, however, that the lack of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats in this buggy was a drawback, and they would like to see more storage space for shopping and other equipment.
