Cherokee County Arrest Update: Recent Incidents and Charges
In the latest reports from Cherokee County, several arrests were made over the past 24 hours, reflecting a mix of serious offenses and failures to comply with prior legal obligations.
David Rodriguez, 34, from Gadsden, was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police for failing to appear in court related to a previous DUI charge. Other notable arrests include Jonathan Nicholson, 38, of Centre, detained by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for methamphetamine possession and drug paraphernalia, alongside charges for marijuana possession.
Terrence Jones, 35, and Thomas Allred, 34, both of Gadsden and Trion, Georgia, respectively, were apprehended for failure to appear on earlier charges: Jones for probation revocation and Allred for drug-related offenses. Additionally, David Bone, 50, of Sand Rock, faced multiple serious charges, including theft and burglary, also stemming from failure to appear in court.
Magan Knight, 35, from Cedar Bluff, was arrested for probation violations, while Heather Dawson, 34, and Phyllis Bedwell, 62, both from Piedmont, were charged with animal cruelty offenses. Finally, Walker Bearden, 29, of Centre, was taken into custody for being on hold for another agency.
The Cherokee County Detention Center currently houses 120 inmates, and it is important to note that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These arrests underscore ongoing efforts by local authorities to enforce the law and maintain community safety.
