All-Etowah County Schools Football, Volleyball, and Cross Country Teams
The Etowah County School System has unveiled its fall all-county teams, recognizing top athletes across football, volleyball, cheer, and cross country. This selection highlights standout players from six schools: Gaston, Glencoe, Hokes Bluff, Sardis, Southside, and West End, while excluding student-athletes from Coosa Christian, Etowah, Gadsden City, and Westbrook Christian. Coaches from each sport were responsible for the selections.
In football, Hokes Bluff’s Bryce Whitaker was named Overall MVP, while Southside’s Jamin Brown earned Offensive Player of the Year, and Sardis’s Levi Martin was recognized as Defensive MVP. Coaches Mike Robertson and Ben Stewart were honored as Coaches of the Year. The football team also featured notable players including quarterbacks Brian Chapman and various skilled athletes across offensive and defensive positions.
For volleyball, Sardis’s Vada Willmore was named MVP, with Leslie Gilmer taking home Coach of the Year honors. Key players included Emersyn Greer and Alli Jo Amos from Glencoe.
In cross country, standout boys included Owen Beason and Jackson Brown, while the girls’ team was led by Taylor Dortch and Riley Hulsey. The cheer team celebrated individual excellence with Kailyn Aulsbrook from Glencoe highlighted among the top cheerleaders.
These accolades reflect the dedication and talent of student-athletes in the Etowah County School System during the fall season.
