Gadsden area boys and girls athlete of the voting for Jan. 24
It’s time to cast your votes for the Gadsden area Boys and Girls Athlete of the Week. Last week, Sardis’ Lucas Montgomery made headlines by scoring a remarkable 78 points, which included a personal-best 47 points in a single game, and he secured 71% of the boys’ votes. On the girls’ side, Sardis’ Jolie Taylor excelled with 18 points in the finals of the Etowah County basketball tournament, earning 77% of the votes.
Nominees for the Athlete of the Week are selected from the top performers from the previous week, and fans can participate in the voting process until Thursday. It’s important to note that votes can only be submitted through the designated online poll, not via email.
This week’s boys’ nominations include Cherokee County’s Tatum Perry (42 points in two games) and Coosa Christian’s Kylen Johnson (39 points).
